The virtual categories are not “virtual” – please don’t walk around in your VR headset. It’s our way of offering you the opportunity to participate in LTAW wherever you are, at your own time, clocking your distance over as many walks as you need.

Watch a recording of the LTAW 2023 Virtual Walkers’ briefing (about 16 mins).

1. When and where will I need to complete my LTAW virtual category?

  • You will need to complete your distance between Sunday 20 October (0000) to Friday 1 November 2024 (2359) – that’s over two weeks.
  • All submissions are to be made by Saturday 2 November 2024 (2359).
  • You can complete your walk anywhere OUTDOORS.
  • In Singapore, we encourage you to walk along the Park Connector Networks.

2. What happens if I cannot complete the distance in one go?

For the virtual categories, you are not required to complete the distance in one session. You can accumulate the total distance over multiple walks between Sunday, 20 October (0000) to Friday, 1 November 2024 (2359).

3. What Categories are there?

This year you can take part in three virtual distance categories: 20km, 50km, 100km.

3. Can I complete my walk on a treadmill or indoors?

As you are required to keep track of your walk distances through a GPS device or app, you will need to walk outdoors to get GPS coverage.

4. How do I submit my virtual walk?

You will need to fill in a form with your distance walked and a screenshot of your GPS app. You may make multiple submissions over the two-week period (20 October to 2 November, 2359).

The link to the form will be sent to you via the WhatsApp chat closer to the start of the Virtual Walk.

5. I opted for a LTAW t-shirt. When can I collect it?

You may collect your LTAW t-shirt on Saturday, 19 October, 10am–6pm (venue TBC).

Please note there will be no finisher t-shirts for Virtual Walk participants. Virtual Walk finishers will receive a congratulatory digital certificate. Thank you for supporting Let’s Take A Walk!
